Our bootcamps help you to develop lean, toned muscle while burning body fat. You don’t have to worry about balancing your workout or staying on task (that’s why the fitness trainers at Pura Vida Urban are here!).
Bootcamps get every muscle in your body working for increased endurance and strength. Bootcamp is designed with progression in mind – you get an amazing workout whether you’re a fitness beginner or you’re in the best shape of your life.
Pura Vida Urban Fitness provides indoor bootcamps all year long and outdoor bootcamps April through late October. Classes last 50 minutes to an hour.

Q: Do I need to sign-up in advance?
A: Advanced sign-up is a must for weekday 6am, 7am and 12:15pm classes. It is greatly appreciated for 6pm weekday and 9am Saturday classes.
Q: Do I need to bring water or a towel?
A: We recommend you bring water (and a towel if you’d like one) to outdoor bootcamps. Indoors, we have everything you’ll need.
Q: Where do fitness bootcamps meet?
A: All fitness bootcamps (indoor and outdoor) start and end at the Pura Vida Urban Fitness studio – 184 Underhill Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The cross streets are Sterling Place and St. John’s Place. We are easily accessible via public transportation by taking the 2/3 to either Grand Army Plaza or Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum.
Q: I have an injury, can I still participate?
A: This is a personal decision; however, we have had bootcampers come in with a range of past injuries from ankles, to knees, to wrists. We will try our best to modify exercises so that you still get in a fantastic workout.
Q: What should I bring to outdoor bootcamp?
During outdoor bootcamp we do exercises like planks, pushups, mountain climbers, burpees, etc. where your hands will touch the ground. If you want to protect your palms a great way to do so is to bring a pair of bicycle or lifting gloves.
